204 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the staff in his Department and in the semi-State bodies under the aegis of his Department who are required to supply a statement of interest in accordance with sections 18 and 20 of the Ethics in Public Office Act, 1995. [11962/97]
All the staff of this Department, serving in the grade of principal officer and equivalent level and above are required to supply statements of interest under the Ethics in Public Office Act, 1995. There are 151 staff in these grades. The Department is also seeking statements from staff in less senior positions where it is in the public interest to do so.
The posts in semi-State bodies required to supply statements of interest are listed in the following tabular statement. These are designated in the Ethics in Public Office (Prescribed Public Body, Designated Directorships and Designated Positions in Public Bodies) Regulations, 1997 (S.I. No. 32/1997) made by the Minister for Finance on 15 January 1997.
