Written Answers - Grant Payments.

Austin Deasy

Question:

34 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Health the current situation in relation to the second phase of the replacement hospital for St. Joseph's, Dungarvan, County Waterford. [12152/97]

Limerick East): As the Deputy will be aware, I have made available the necessary capital funds to enable a new 27-bed nursing unit to be completed at St. Joseph's Hospital, Dungarvan.

The question of the further development of St. Joseph's Hospital, Dungarvan, will be a matter for consideration in the first instance by the South-Eastern Health Board in the light of the internal priorities of the board and the overall availability of capital resources.
