42 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Taoiseach the current position regarding the application for grant assistance under the scheme of grants of local development by Grange Drive Tenants Association, Muirhevna Mor, Dundalk, County Louth; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12011/97]

This application was received in response to the public advertisement in relation to the 1997 scheme of grants in support of local development projects.

As I mentioned in my reply to Parliamentary Question No. 56 on 23 April 1997, applications are currently being assessed under the criteria approved for the scheme and applicants will be notified as soon as the assessments are completed — which I expect will be by end May.
