Written Answers. - Law Reform.

Ivor Callely

Question:

33 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Equality and Law Reform the matters which have been identified as requiring law reform; the progress, if any, there has been on these matters; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12336/97]

The current legislative priorities of my Department, which the Government intends to deal with prior to the Dail's summer recess, are set out in the Chief Whip's published list of legislation dated 8 April 1997. The position regarding published Bills on that list is a matter of public record. The unpublished Bills referred to in that list are being drafted. Any further Government decisions on legislation will be announced in the usual manner.
