Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.

Rory O'Hanlon

Question:

60 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the urgent need for extra facilities at Inver College, Carrickmacross, County Monaghan; if she will provide funding in this regard; the timescale she has for this project; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [12363/97]

My Department has approved in principle the provision of a permanent extension at Inver College, Carrickmacross, County Monaghan. Architectural planning of this project is progressing and at present officials in my Department are examining stage 4, detail design, documentation. The question of proceeding to construction does not arise until all stages of the architectural planning process have been successfully completed.
