78 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for Social Welfare the policy in relation to the future of local social welfare offices around the country; if any of these offices are to be closed in the future; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12341/97]
I am assuming for the purposes of this reply that the Deputy is referring to social welfare branch offices. I refer the Deputy to my reply to Questions Nos. 33 and 88 on Wednesday, 27 November 1996, Question No. 464 on Wednesday, 22 January 1997, Question No. 111 on Wednesday, 12 February 1997, and to Question No. 207 on Tuesday, 11 March 1997. The position as outlined on those occasions is unchanged.
