Question:108 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht the number of Bills published by his Department since January 1995. [12505/97]
Written Answers. - Publication of Bills.
The Heritage Council Bill, 1994, which was originally published in 1994, was subsequently amended on Committee Stage and republished in February 1995 under the title "The Heritage Bill, 1994". The Cultural Institutions Bill was published by my Department in 1996. In addition, the Government's proposals for new broadcasting legislation were published by me earlier this year.
Bills which are scheduled for publication in the coming months include The Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht (Powers, Functions and Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill, 1997; The Wildlife (Amendment) Bill, 1997; and The National Parks and Heritage Areas Bill, 1997.
