Question:149 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for the Environment if he will make adequate funding available in 1997 to complete the Bandon by-pass roadway; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12696/97]
Written Answers. - Roads Funding.
A grant allocation of £200,000 has been provided to Cork County Council this year under the EU co-financed grants scheme for stage 1 of the Bandon outer relief road from Glaslyn Road to Parnell Street. Allowing for the county council's own input, the balance of the cost, £700,000, will be provided in 1998, subject to the submission by the council of the appropriate application under the scheme.
