Vol. 479 No. 2

Written Answers. - School Staffing.

Noel Dempsey

Question:

179 Mr. Dempsey asked the Minister for Education if she will intervene to ensure that a school (details supplied) in Dublin 7 will not lose four teachers due to a fall-off in numbers in view of the serious disadvantage for which the school caters. [12468/97]

My Department is considering an appeal which has been submitted by the authorities of the school for an increase in the approved teacher allocation for the 1977-8 school year. A decision will be conveyed to the school authorities as soon as possible. I will notify the Deputy of the position in due course.
