209 Ms Keogh asked the Minister for Education the changes, if any, she proposes to make to the current rules for vocational schools in the context of conditions of service for teachers and her proposals in the Education Bill; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [12648/97]
The conditions of service of teachers in the VEC system are governed by Memorandum V7.
The Deputy will be aware that any changes to this memorandum must involve full prior consultation and negotiation with both union and management bodies. This approach would, of course, equally apply to any changes in consequence of legislation.
