279 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Tourism and Trade if his Department made a special grant to RTÉ or any other agency involved in the running of the Eurovision Song Contest; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12947/97]

My Department did not make any grant to RTE or any other agency involved in the running of the recent Eurovision Song Contest.
