Question:

48 Ms Keogh asked the Taoiseach the amounts and purpose of any funding or grant allocations made by his Department or by bodies under the aegis of his Department to organisations (details supplied) in each of the years from 1995 to date in 1997. [12840/97]

The information requested by the Deputy is outlined in the following schedule:

Taoiseach's Department

Subhead B — Communicating Europe:

1995: £1,500 — Irish Countrywomen's Association. Contribution towards organisation of a European awarness week.

1996: £2,000 — Irish Countrywomen's Association. Contribution towards organisation and running of an art competition for primary schools.

£2,500 — Irish Countrywomen's Association. Contribution towards organisation of a European awarness week.

Subhead F1 — Local Development:

1995: £8,000 — Pavee Point. Under the scheme of grants for Local Development Projects, Pavee Point received £8,000 to address the problem of water infiltration and dry rot attack to their premises.

Area Development Management (ADM) Ltd. (Chief Executive, Dr. Tony Crooks — Phone 6613611), is an independent intermediary company established by the Government and the European Commission to implement Sub-Programme 2 of the Operational Programme for Local Urban and Rural Development and some of the sectoral organisations mentioned by the Deputy are in receipt of funding from it. I have no function in relation to the allocation of funding by ADM.
