57 Ms Keogh asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs the amounts and purpose of any funding or grant allocations made by his Department or by bodies under the aegis of his Department to organisations (details supplied) in each of the years from 1995 to date in 1997. [12852/97]

In the years from 1995 to 1997, payments were made by the National Committee for Development Education (NCDE) to subsidiaries of the National

Youth Council. The total paid to these bodies per year was: 1995, £70,400; 1996, £68,828; 1997, £81,702.
The purpose of the payments are set out in the following table.
