93 Ms M. Fox asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the urgent need for a person (details supplied) in Dublin 14 to have an operation on his back in view of his severe pain; and when such an operation will take place. [12546/97]

Limerick East): As the provision of in-patient admissions is a matter for the hospital and the consultant concerned I have asked the chief executive officer of the Eastern Health Board to investigate the position regarding this patient and to reply to the Deputy directly as soon as possible.

94 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be called for a tonsil operation in view of the fact that the delay is causing severe discomfort. [12626/97]

Limerick East): As the provision of ENT treatment to the person concerned, in this instance, is the responsibility of the Western Health Board, I have asked the chief executive officer of the Western Health Board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
