Vol. 479 No. 2

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Michael Ring

Question:

99 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be called for a hip operation in view of the fact that he is in severe discomfort and pain and he was told he would be called within a month over five weeks prior to 7 may 1997. [12755/97]

Limerick East): I understand from Cappagh Orthopaedic Hospital that the person referred to by the Deputy was placed on a waiting list for a total hip replacement on 26 March 1997. The hospital authorities have confirmed that he is scheduled for admission on 3 June 1997.
