Vol. 479 No. 2

Written Answers. - National Lottery Funding.

Ned O'Keeffe

Question:

100 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Health the proposals, if any, he has to allocate national lottery funding from his Department to an organisation (details supplied) in County Cork. [12817/97]

Limerick East): No application for national lottery funding has been received by my Department from the organisation referred to.

I would like to inform the Deputy that my Department uses a standard application form for all requests for grants from the health allocation of national lottery funds. An application form was sent to the organisation on 9 May 1997.

When an application form for a grant from national lottery funds is received in my Department it is sent to the relevant services division for assessment, evalation and recommendation. All applications are then considered in the context of the recommendations for service division and the overall level of funds available.
