63 Mr. Cowen asked the Minister for Health if he will given representation to St. Nicholas Montessori Society, which represents about 300 schools, on the group drawing up a code of practice for pre-school groupings; and if not, the reason therefor. [13090/97]
A guide to good practice is currently being prepared in my Department in conjunction with the Child Care (Pre-School Services) Regulations which came into effect on 31 December 1996. The guide to good practice is being prepared by small sub-committee of the pre-school working group which assisted me in the drawing up of the Regulations. Work on the guide is well advanced and I have no plans for increasing the size of the sub-committee at this stage.
