Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.

Michael Ring

Question:

87 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Education when funding will be provided for an extra classroom in a school (details supplied) in County Mayo. [13053/97]

My Department is currently considering an application for additional classroom accommodation in the school referred to by the Deputy. A decision will be conveyed to the school as quickly as possible.

Willie O'Dea

Question:

88 Mr. O'Dea asked the Minister for Education if she will include a proposed extension to St. Nessan's national school, Mungret, County Limerick, in the current capital programme in view of the urgent necessity for such an extension. [13054/97]

The current position regarding a proposed extension to St. Nessan's national school, Mungret, County Limerick is that the school management is currently considering my Department's proposed design drawings for the project. When the school advises the Department of its views, the architectural planning will continue. The question of funding arises only after completion of all the planning work.
