60 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Health if he has received an application from an organisation (details supplied) in County Cork for national lottery funding for the construction of a day room at Mallow General Hospital; and if he will provide funding for this development. [14132/97]

The application referred to by the Deputy has recently been received by my Department and is one of a number of applications for national lottery funding still under consideration. The organisation concerned will be informed directly when a decision has been made regarding the allocation of these funds.
