158 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the compensation, if any, for flood damage which was paid by the Government to people anywhere in Ireland for each of the years from 1995 to 1997; and if he will categorise the amounts, if any, by county. [14279/97]

The following tabular statement gives details of payments made to date in respect of the 1995 flood damage (fodder/livestock) relief scheme.

No schemes were operated in respect of flood damage which occurred in 1996 or 1997.
