Vol. 480 No. 6

Written Answers - Farm Retirement Scheme.

Liam Aylward

Question:

185 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the progress, if any, to date on the application by a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny under the farm retirement pension scheme. [14397/97]

The application was received in the local office on 17 June 1997. The Deputy can be assured that where unavoidable delays occur in processing applications under the early retirement scheme applicants will not be penalised. I am therefore making arrangements to have the commencement date of pensions adjusted to take account of the unavoidable delays in this and similar cases.

Michael Finucane

Question:

187 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when an early retirement pension will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick. [14708/97]

Further documentation is awaited from the applicant and when that is received the application will be processed and if found to be in order, payment will be made.
