284 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Health and Children when his Department will be in receipt of tenders for the 30-bed unit at St Patrick's Hospital, Fermoy, County Cork; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14699/97]

I will consider the progression of this project to allow for invitation of tenders by the Southern Health Board as soon as the position regarding overall capital funding available to my Department in 1998 is finalised.
