357 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the steps, if any, his Department is taking in relation to the application from Fermoy Urban District Council for implementation of stage 3 of the Fermoy water supply scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14643/97]

Revised contract documents for phase 3 of the Fermoy water supply scheme were approved in May of this year. The council's proposals to carry out necessary site investigation works have recently been approved.

358 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when he will approve the application to his Department from Westmeath County Council to provide a spur off the Mullingar regional water supply, north west low level, currently being constructed, to provide water for the village of Moyvore which has no water supply; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14644/97]

Westmeath County Council's proposal to serve the village of Moyvore as part of the Mullingar regional water supply scheme has recently been approved.
