439 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands the action, if any, she is taking to implement a National Cultural Institutions Council as outlined in the Programme for Government; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [14834/97]
I am committed to the establishment of a forum where cultural institutions under my aegis dealing with issues of common interest would learn from each others' experiences and discuss matters of common concern. Proposals are in preparation for the detailed arrangements for implementing this objective.
