Vol. 480 No. 6

Written Answers - Registration of Title.

Michael Ring

Question:

464 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will expedite the issue of a schedule and maps from the Land Registry Office to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo in view of the fact that the matter is causing financial hardship. [14257/97]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that the application referred to by the Deputy involves a Land Commission Schedule. In the case of such schedules, the property is deemed to be registered as of date of vesting by the Land Commission. In view of the circumstances of the case, the Land Registry will make every effort to expedite this Schedule.

I have been further informed that Dealing No. 97SMO5847, which refers to a transmission on death lodged on 9 September 1997, is an associated dealing to this Schedule. The dealing was rejected on 24 September 1997 and returned to the lodging solicitor.

Question:

466 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will expedite the registration of lands in the Land Registry Office for a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon in view of the fact that the matter has been ongoing for the past six years and is causing financial hardship. [14259/97]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that a lodgement of the Land Certificate in connection with this application is awaited. On receipt of this certificate, it is expected that the registration will be completed within 14 to 21 days.
