Tony Gregory

Question:

468 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if charges were brought by the Garda arising from a serious incident (details supplied) in Dublin 7; and if not, the reason no action was taken. [14487/97]

I am informed by Garda authorities that summonses have been applied for in respect of the incident referred to by the Deputy. The injured parties will be informed of the date of the court hearing in due course.

469 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if the investigating gardaí have satisfied themselves that a company (details supplied) in Dublin 3 disposed of a car without the owner's permission; and the action, if any, they have taken in the matter. [14488/97]

I am informed by the Garda authorities that this matter is the subject of a Garda investigation.

471 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will request the Garda to check reported discrepancies in the criminal record of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 3; and the reason for any such discrepancies. [14490/97]

I am informed by the Garda authorities that, based on the limited information supplied by the Deputy, there is no evidence of discrepancies in Garda criminal records in relation to the person referred to.

472 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if the gardaí at Fitzgibbon Street, Dublin 1, have received complaints regarding large unmarked trailers left unattended in a hazardous and obstructive manner in the Portland Street and North Circular Road area; and the action, if any, they are taking in the matter. [14491/97]

The matters referred to by the Deputy have been brought to the attention of the Garda authorities.

I have been informed by the Garda authorities that the trailers referred to by the Deputy were not parked in breach of the Road Traffic Acts or parking by-laws.

I am given to understand from the Garda authorities that these trailers have now been removed.
