Question:

98 Mr. Durkan asked the Taoiseach the plans, if any, he has to commemorate the millennium; whether specific responsibility has been delegated to a particular Government Department; the terms of reference, if any, in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14799/97]

The Taoiseach:

I am presently considering, in consultation with relevant Ministers, the most appropriate way to commemorate the millennium.

When these considerations are completed an announcement will be made.
