112 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the legislation, if any, she proposes to promote equality for people with disabilities; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [14878/97]
My Department does not have any statutory function in relation to the promotion of legislation specifically for people with disabilities and, therefore, I have no proposals in that regard at this time. Primary responsibility in this area rests with the Departments of Justice, Equality and Law Reform and Health.
