Question:

149 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Finance the number of public buildings under his care; if he will categorise these into the various Government Departments which use these buildings; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15653/97]

The total number of properties under the care of the Commissioners of Public Works is 1,850. Of these approximately 1,300 are public buildings. Details of the various Government Departments and Offices which occupy these buildings are set out in the following schedule. In some instances the same building is shared by two or more Departments.
