150 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Finance the measures, if any, he proposes to have special tax incentives introduced to encourage cultural development as outlined in An Action Programme for the Millennium; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15756/97]
A large number of proposals and suggestions in the area of taxation are received every year. This year as with previous years, all such proposals, including ones in relation to cultural development, will be given careful consideration in the context of preparations for the budget.
I would, however, point out that the programme for Government, Action Programme for the New Millennium outlines some of the main objectives of the Government for the next five years.
