Mitchell asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when he will confirm the compulsory purchase order for the Wyckham by-pass, new Ballinteer Road and Dundrum by-pass, the public inquiry for which took place in December 1996; when construction of these roads will commence; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I intend to determine the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Compulsory Purchase (Ballinteer Road-Wyckham By-Pass) Order, 1996 and Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Compulsory Purchase (Dundrum Main Street By-Pass) Order, 1996 as soon as possible. As my role in these matters is of a quasi-judicial nature, it would not be appropriate for me to comment at this stage on the possible further development of these schemes.
