Question:

254 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will give details of the staff, if any, seconded to other organisations in respect of whom his Department is committed to make payments; the criteria for secondment; the arrangements in place to recoup salaries; and whether these criteria and arrangements are being respected in all cases. : The details of the staff requested by the Deputy are as follows:

Grade	Organisation
1 Assistant Secretary	Letterkenny Regional Technical College
1 Higher Executive Officer	National Council for Education Awards

The secondment of staff is considered on a case by case basis. Salary payments continue to be made by my Department in respect of these staff. Total remuneration is then recouped on a quarterly basis.
