Vol. 481 No. 1

Written Answers. - Avonmore-Waterford Merger.

Austin Deasy

Question:

29 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will hold talks with the management of the newly merged Avonmore-Waterford food group to ensure that there are no significant job losses as a result of the recent merger, particularly in the Waterford end of the operation in Dungarvan and Kilmeaden. [15501/97]

The matter referred to by the Deputy is an issue between management and workers of the company and it is not my intention to become involved.
