119 Mr. J. Brady asked the Minister for Finance if he intends to continue the scrappage deal for people who purchase a new car in view of the fact that this is a very popular scheme which may be bringing in a lot of extra revenue to the Exchequer. [16162/97]

As I announced on 8 October 1997, the car scrappage scheme will come to an end on 31 December 1997.
