The Temple Bar CCTV System comprising seven camera sites in the Temple Bar area was launched in Pearse Street Garda station on 26 October 1995. In May of this year a further two cameras were added to the system to provide coverage of the D'Olier Street-Townsend Street area and the Pearse Street-Spring Garden Lane area.
