60 Mr. J. Brady asked the Taoiseach the value and volume of carcase beef supplied to Egypt in 1996 and the first half of 1997; and if he will make a statement on the prospect for this trade for the second half of 1997. [16175/97]
Official external trade figures are available up to May 1997. There were no exports of carcase beef to Egypt during 1996 or in the period January to May 1997. However, there were exports of boneless beef to Egypt in both periods.
