76 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the value of eels recovered from the Shannon Basin in each of the years from 1994 to date in 1997; and the profits generated by such an exercise. [16353/97]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 76, 77 and 79 together.

I am advised by the ESB it has not sold elvers from the Shannon Basin to private concerns between 1995 and October 1997.

The volume and market value of eels harvested by the ESB from the Shannon Basin in the past three years was as follows:
