One of the objectives in my Department's statement of strategy, which was published earlier this year, is that An Post should ensure that the quality of the company's mail service is improved to a level where 95 per cent of letter post in the State is delivered on the next working day.
The Market Research Bureau of Ireland undertakes quarterly surveys of the quality standards of An Post's postal deliveries: the results of these surveys are published in the national daily newspapers.
