Vol. 482 No. 6

Written Answers. - Nature Reserves.

Joe Higgins

Question:

355 Mr. J. Higgins (Dublin West) asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands if she will supply Deputy J. Higgins (Dublin West) with a copy of the establishment order designating the Glen of the Downs as a nature reserve. [19083/97]

All nature reserves are established or recognised by statutory instruments under section 15 or section 16 of the Wildlife Act, 1976 (No. 39 of 1976).

The Glen of the Downs Nature Reserve was established in 1980 by statutory instrument - S.I. No. 176 of 1980 - and a copy of the establishment order has been forwarded to the Deputy.
