Question:

389 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation if he has received an interim report from the working group looking at the role of young people in sport; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18749/97]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 386, 387 and 389 together.

A special sub-committee of the Irish Sports Council was established in June of this year to examine all issues concerning sport for young people. The group expects to produce an interim report in due course, after consultations which may involve a forum if deemed necessary, with the key people and agencies.
