388 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation the plans, if any, he has to establish a National Sports Trust in partnership with the private sector in order that there can be increased private sector investment in Irish sport. [18748/97]

My Department is currently looking at the scope for greater private sector investment in sport. The Sports Council is also examining the issue and I will be considering their proposals as soon as they have been finalised.
