408 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation the discussions, if any, he has had with his Northern Ireland counterpart on the development of an all-island training and development programme; and the discussions, if any, he has had with the co-ordinators of the Peace and Reconciliation Fund in this regard. Officials of my Department and the Chairman of the Irish Sports Council have met with representatives of the Sports Council for Northern Ireland, on the scope and possibilities for developing an all-island approach to aspects of training and sport development. As a result, work is under way on the preparation of proposals which will be the subject of further discussion with the Sports Council for Northern Ireland as soon as they are ready.
