429 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science the action, if any, he will take to speed up procedures in relation to the provision of extra facilities at Confey College, Leixlip, County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18482/97]
My Department has recently received the stage 2 submission - outline sketch scheme — in respect of the project at Confey College, Leixlip, County Kildare and this is presently being examined by the technical staff of the building unit. When it has been approved, the design team will be instructed to proceed to the next stage of architectural planning.
I can assure the Deputy that every effort will be made to expedite the architectural planning process.
