445 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education and Science if his Department will have arrangements made to have sanction granted to Kilkenny Vocational Education Committee to allow a school (details supplied) in County Kilkenny to purchase a field for sporting and recreational facilities in view of the fact that the application has been lodged for some time with his Department. An application for funding for the purchase of land to provide additional sporting and recreational facilities at the school in question is being considered by my Department. The question of the acquisition of additional land can only be considered in the context of the capital available for post-primary building purposes generally.
