Question:448 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Education and Science when a decision will be made in relation to the awarding of a contract for the extension of a school (details supplied) in County Mayo. [18822/97]
Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.
Architectural planning of an extension to this school has been completed. The building unit of my Department has recently requested the school to submit a final tender report and clarification of a number of issues from the school's design team. When these documents are received in my Department, the project will be progressed as a matter of urgency. It is the intention of my Department to ensure that the contract is awarded as soon as possible and that the project proceeds to construction immediately thereafter.
