Question:184 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if his attention has been drawn to the disappointment felt by students that the recent Presidential election and referendum were not held on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday; if he will make a commitment that future elections and referenda will be organised to facilitate the large student population and increasingly people who work away from home; and if he will ensure that polling stations will remain open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. as was previously the case.
