242 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if the Garda Síochána in Santry, Dublin 9 will pay particular attention to the problem of speeding traffic at a location (details supplied) in Dublin 9; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19351/97]

I am informed by the Garda authorities that the Garda in Santry are aware of the problem of speeding in the area referred to by the Deputy. The issue raised by the Deputy has been brought to the attention of Garda units working in the area. I have been assured by the Garda authorities that they will continue to monitor the speed of motorists in this area and take appropriate action where necessary.
