Vol. 483 No. 6

Written Answers. - Flood Relief.

Billy Timmins

Question:

251 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Finance the plans, if any, which are in hand with the Office of Public Works to alleviate the serious flooding problem in an area (details supplied) in County Wicklow; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21317/97]

The area inquired about is one of a large number of areas identified as having drainage requirements. The local authority's requirements have not yet been identified. My office has no plans for any interim works in this area in advance of any consideration of formal proposals from the local authority.
