258 Mr. Enright asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has been drawn to the recommendations of the World Health Organisation to have a universal childhood vaccination for hepatitis B on or before December 1997; if his attention has been further been drawn to the fact that quite a number of European Union member states have already decided to implement this vaccination programme; the consideration, if any, he has given to this matter, and when he will implement this vaccination programme. 279 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Health and Children the steps, if any, which he has taken to comply with the World Health Organisation's recommendation to introduce universal childhood vaccinations for hepatitis B by December 1997; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21190/97]
