The Mid-Western Health Board has submitted proposals for a wide range of developments to my Department, including proposals for the development of the otolaryngology (ENT) service in the mid-west region. These are being considered in line with the priorities of the board and the service needs of the mid-west region in the context of the resources available for the development of hospital services.
